Early Day Motions (EDM)
As Minister for Europe and therefore a member of the Government, David is not able to sign Early Day Motions. EDMs provide an opportunity for backbenchers to register an opinion and to gather support for it, and as such are not signed by Ministers.
David does, however, note the comments of anybody who sends in a request for him to sign an EDM, and bears them in mind whenever he considers the issue.
